This May, in honor of the occasion of the Run to Monaco, Roger Dubuis and car tire legend, Pirelli partnered to celebrate the recently launched Excalibur Spider Pirelli.
“Characterised by privileged exclusivity, rampant virility and shared commitment to providing authentic money-can’t-buy experiences, this great match between Roger Dubuis and Pirelli is rooted in the fact that exclusive service is a must for those who want to make a lasting imprint on scorching tarmac,” the house released in a statement about the collaboration. The Run to Monaco stands on its own as one of the world’s most famous and lavish motorsports events held in Monaco annually. It was only fitting, to that end, that the iconic brands came together to “dare to be rare” with an exclusive series of the Excalibur Spider Pirelli – Automatic Skeleton. Released in yellow and red in an homage to the famous tire brand’s logo, this release boasts a new and more colorful feature of the Excalibur line. And in step with the collaboration, Pirelli also released Color Edition tires which were debuted in the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show and will soon be made available for road tires as well in an effort to further highlight the brand’s uniqueness.
“Distinguished by a black and blue, red or yellow skeletonised ange, the colour coding of these vibrant new Excalibur Spider Pirelli models is further accentuated by a titanium black DLC crown over-moulded with matching-colour stitching on the straps as appropriate.”
The road to this incredibly successful partnership doesn’t end there; the duo sealed the deal by making the straps of each timepiece from winning Pirelli motorsport tire rubber. Issued in an 88-piece limited edition, the 45mm skeleton case of the Excalibur Spider Automatic Skeleton provides a perfect frame for the brand’s best- selling Calibre RD820SQ.
